The second day of the war we were evacuated from our home, from our life as we knew it and from the studio in Ramot Naftali 3 km from the Lebanese border. In those 2 series, painted in the small rescue apartment in the centre of Israel, I wantd to express the fear, the anger, the frustration, the existential anxiety and the grief of the longest and deadliest war that the State of Israel ever experienced. In both of series my feelings are represented through birds and were painted in the same period. The first one with bold and forceful movements and only basic colours. The second series are small collages and watercolour works about trying to put everything in order, the new home away from home that we have to make liveable side by side with the war.
